HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST LED WALL LIGHTING

Image
Wall pack lights, or exterior building lights, are lights that are usually mounted on the exterior walls of commercial buildings.  They are the most common commercial outdoor lighting fixtures.  Wall packages use high-intensity lamp heads that are durable, save energy and have low levels of light pollution.  These lights offer additional security to buildings, as multiple fixtures are normally mounted on a wall to illuminate specific areas outside a building. There are 4 types of traditional lamps used in wall packages: High-pressure sodium Metal halide Mercury vapor Fluorescent lamps And while these lights are very capable of generating bright light, even in harsh environments with snow, rain, and sleet, they are not as efficient as LED lamps. High-pressure sodium bulbs have a low color temperature and the color of the light they produce is usually very yellow (2200K-2400K).  The metal halide may have a higher color temperature (4000K-4500K) but it t...

HOW TO ILLUMINATE FOOD AND MEAT WITH LED LIGHTS

Image
Is it difficult to find a balance between offering a wide variety of fresh foods and, at the same time, minimizing waste?  While creating an inspiring shopping experience?  Proper lighting can have a big impact on the success of your fresh food department.  Accent lighting of fresh foods is the perfect recipe for a delicious presentation while extending the shelf life of your fresh products. Benefits of presenting fresh food insight The best presentation According to research, people remember that the color of fresh products is more saturated than they really are.  And when it comes to choosing a product, consumer preferences go further: they want an even more saturated color than they remember.  The right lighting recipe can optimize the presentation and improve sales.  Preserve quality Bad lighting affects the quality of fresh produce.  The right lighting recipe helps keep food fresh for longer, which means a longer shelf life and less w...

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER WHEN BUYING LED STRIPS

Image
Where do you want your LED strip? Will it be the main lighting, the characteristic lighting or the ambient lighting?  Are the textures and reflectivity of the surrounding surfaces adequate? Tip: the goal is to see the lighting effect but not the real light source;  otherwise, you will see individual LEDs as "dots" of light, rather than a gentle wash effect.  If the LED strip will be visible (the ceiling LED lights, for example), then you can use one of our LED extrusion profiles to diffuse the individual LEDs and create a uniform and uniform light bar. How bright/intense do you want the emitted light to be? Different effects and levels of light can be produced by different types, numbers and colors of LEDs in a strip, and by using extrusions or profiles. (To test the chosen position, you can temporarily install an LED strip with adhesive tape and then fix the strip with your self-adhesive only when you are satisfied with the final effect). Is the surfac...

CHOOSING LED STRIPS: HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT LEDS FOR YOUR PROJECT

Image
LED strips are a versatile light source that can be installed almost anywhere.  They consist of a flexible base layer (a printed circuit board or PCB) that is backed by a self-adhesive tape and studded with a row of light-emitting diodes.  LEDs are placed at regular intervals, usually, 60 or 120 diodes per meter, to provide a smooth effect when they are illuminated. Extremely narrow only 8 mm wide and 3 mm high, LED strips are ideal for installation in narrow areas where other forms of lighting would not be practical.  They are energy efficient, use very little energy (only 4.8 watts per meter) and, however, can produce enough light to replace the fluorescent tubes (up to 1440 lumens per meter). LED strips are available in a wide range of colors, which include a variety of whites, as well as RGB / RGBW color changing strips, which will allow you to mix any shade of any color when connected to an LED controller. LED strips can be supplied in standard or wate...

EXTRUSIONS FOR LED: WHEN SHOULD I USE ALUMINUM LED PROFILES?

Image
By placing your LED tape in an extrusion, you can create a more “finished” appearance compared to the non-installed PCB, which is ideal if the product is installed in a location where it is clearly visible. What are the benefits of LED extrusions? Aluminum extrusions with LED light strips help prevent contact damage if the LED tape is placed within easy reach.  And although they are not waterproof, extrusions can help prevent moisture.  (For added protection against water, consider installing an IP67 LED tape on extrusions.) These LED lights have a range of extrusion profiles, each with different advantages.  They include our optical lens extrusion, which actually "sheds" the light even closer by narrowing the beam of the LED ribbon and adds a luxurious finish to the LED strip lights. What is the difference between LED extrusions and LED profiles? There's no difference.  The terms "aluminum extrusion" and "aluminum profile" are interch...
